Crime Prevention through Environmental Design

A multi-disciplinary proactive approach to deterring, preventing, and countering criminal acts that is ideally conducted during facility planning and design phases.

Typically the CPTED “environment” relates to external control measures, CJES professionals however proactively consider and assess both internal/external (i.e. related environment) facility and operational control measures.

The unique experience/expertise CJES possesses in the specialized fields of security management, physical security, and operations-based theory/knowledge; has an end result of providing you with optimum CPTED products and services.

CJES will meet and coordinate with project design and construction teams, develop and present CPTED-based concepts specific and beneficial to respective facility operations, review and assess architectural drafts and plans, make appropriate CPTED-based modification and revision proposals specific to final agency space designs/layouts, conduct project site inspections, and establish and ensure approved CPTED-based compliance and adherence - including operations and security/contingency policy and procedure integration - up to and through building/space occupancy.
